Search for "Dynamic FPS mod TOTK" and you will find two very different things sharing a similar name. One is a community mod for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom played on emulators. The other is Dynamic FPS Mod for Minecraft, which is what this website covers. This guide explains the difference so you end up with the right file.

What the TOTK mod is
The TOTK mod known as Dynamic FPS was created by a community modder known as ChucksFeedAndSeed. Coverage at the time described it as a way to stop the game from slowing down heavily when the frame rate dips, which was useful for people playing on PC through emulators and on devices such as the Steam Deck.
It is a completely separate project from the Minecraft mod. It is not made by the same people, it does not use the same files, and the two cannot be swapped.
This site does not host or link to Zelda or emulator mods. If you are interested in the TOTK mod, look for it from its original creator's channels, and only use emulators with games you legally own.
Why the mix-up happens
"Dynamic FPS" is a plain description, so it is natural for more than one project to use it. Search engines then blend results together, especially for short queries. Adding the game name to your search, such as "Minecraft" or "Tears of the Kingdom", usually separates them.
Staying safe when searching for mods
- Be wary of sites that bundle mods inside installers or ask you to disable antivirus software.
- Check that the file type matches what you expect. Minecraft mods are
.jarfiles that go in amodsfolder. - Prefer the original creator's page or a well-known mod platform.
